From time to time I go through my fabric stash to see what I have available and how much and it is not a very fast process. I got the idea to make a fabric swatch template, where I can see everything I have available and also be able to feel the fabric which is crucial in many sewing projects.
Like every sewist I do also have lots of fabric scraps that are not organized and most of the time I have to go through bins to check what I have and If it would work for the upcycling project I am working on. Here comes my second idea, a fabric scrap book sounds even better.
If you’re organizing your fabric stash or fabric scraps, here’s a free printable to aid you in the process.

Having both of these books in place could potentially make your sewing plans easier and faster to decide on what to use.
The free printable includes two PDF templates: one for fabric stash and the other for fabric scraps. Each of the PDF templates comes in A4 and letter format where you can choose between two different styles to put on your swatches.
Also, if you need to personalize the templates shoot me an email and I can send the raw files. There’s nothing better than making your sewing journey easier for yourself and others.
